Après des études de clarinette, puis de Musicologie à la Sorbonne, Franck Lunion étudie le chant au CNSM de Paris. Il participe aux masterclasses de Kurt Moll, Gérard Souzay, Christa Ludwig et Anna Reynolds.  Engagé alors dans le cadre de l’Académie Européenne de Musique du Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, il participe alors à la production de Don Giovanni sous la direction de Claudio Abbado et Daniel Harding, dans une mise en scène de Peter Brook. Cette production est reprise à Stockholm, à l’Opéra de Lyon, au Piccolo Teatro della Scala de Milan, ainsi qu’au Bunkamara de Tokyo. Il chante ensuite le rôle d’Arcas (Thésée de  Lully), dans le cadre de l’Académie d’Ambronay, sous la direction de William Christie à l’Auditorium de Lyon, au Palais des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles et à la Cité de la Musique de Paris.

Il se produit régulièrement en récital (notamment avec Claude Lavoix avec laquelle ils interprètent, entre autres, le Winterreise de Franz Schubert) et en concert.

En concert, il interprète, entre autres Joseph (L'Enfance du Christ de Berlioz), la basse solo dans le Messie de Haendel, dans la Johannes-Passion de Jean Sébastien Bach ou encore La Cantate Ich habe genug.

 Plus récemment, il chante la partie de baryton solo dans le Deutsches Requiem de Johannes Brahms et le Requiem de Gabriel Fauré avec l’Orchestre Note et Bien, ainsi que le Dichterliebe de Schumann à Chevreuse et en récital des Mélodies et Lieder autour de Brahms (Vier ernste Gesange) Mahler, Lili Boulanger et Ravel à Paris (Eglise Saint Merry) et autour de Schubert, Mahler et Ravel à Sens et à Bourges avec la pianiste Marie Cécile Milan. Il participe à la première édition des Clissonnantes de Clisson dans des Lieder de Schubert et des Mélodies de Reynaldo Hahn avec la pianiste Linda Lombardozzi ainsi qu'au Festival  Classique estival de la Bernerie en Retz, en récital à l'Oceanis de Ploemeur (Morbihan) et à l'Atelier de La Main d'Or à Paris avec le pianiste Jeff Cohen, le Schwanengesang de Schubert Les Chansons de Don Quichotte d'Ibert et les Don Quichotte à Dulcinée de Ravel avec Michel Schouman à Paris et à Corny (Eure), Dichterliebe de Schumann ainsi que des mélodies de Fauré et Hahn au Estivales de Riec sur Belon avec la pianiste Agnès Fargier-Lagrange et interprète  La Suite sur les Sonnets de Michel-Ange Op 145 de Chostakovitch avec la pianiste Irina Kataeva-Aimard à l'Association "Dimitri Chostakovitch" de Paris.

Bachelor of Musicology from La Sorbonne, and after learning clarinet, Franck Lunion studied singing at the CNSM in Paris. He attended the masterclasses of Kurt Moll, Gérard Souzay , Christa Ludwig and Anna Reynolds. As member  of the European Academy of Music of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, he has sung in the production of Don Giovanni under Claudio Abbado and Daniel Harding’s baton, directed by Peter Brook. This production has been revived in Stockholm, at the Opéra de Lyon, at the Piccolo Teatro della Scala in Milan, as well as at the Bunkamara in Tokyo. Then, he sang the role of Arcas (Lully's Theseus), as part of the Académie d'Ambronay, under the direction of William Christie at the Auditorium de Lyon, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels and the Cité de la Musique in Paris.

He regularly performs in recital (notably with Claude Lavoix, with whom they performed, among others, Franz Schubert's Winterreise).

In concert, he has sung, among others, Joseph (Berlioz's L'Enfance du Christ), the solo bass in Handel's Messiah, the Johannes Sebastian Bach's Johannes Passion and the Cantata Ich habe genug.

More recently, he has performed the baritone solo in Brahms' Deutsches Requiem in Paris and at the Basilique Saint-Denis, and Fauré's Requiem in Paris, Schumann's Dichterliebe in Chevreuse, Schubert's Lieder and Reynaldo Hahn's songs in the Festival the Clissonnantes near to Nantes, with the pianist Linda Lombardozzi as well as in the Classic Music Festival « Estival » in La Bernerie en Retz, Schubert and Mahler Lieder, Debussy’s Songs and Negro Spirituals with the pianist Jeff Cohen at the Oceanis in Ploemeur (Britany) and at the Paris Atelier de La Main d'Or, Schumann's Dichterliebe and songs of Fauré and Hahn in Britany with the pianist Agnes Fargier-Lagrange in Britany and the Shostakovitch’s Suite on Verses of Michelangelo Op 145  with the pianist Irina Kataeva in Paris.
